Glenna Evans was born in Edmonton and grew up in Victoria. A true artist, Glenna expressed herself in many forms including: music, stilt-walking, fire-breathing, graffiti, tattooing and a 5 girl performative bicycle troupe called “The Recyclistas”. In September of 2007, she attended Emily Carr University of Art + Design, where she excelled in drawing, painting and performance art. Her art practice explored space and the formal elements of painting with an interest in colliding high with low art and the tension created between the artist and the public. She was a featured artist in Twitter: Art and Social Media Group Show at Diane Farris Gallery, (Vancouver, 2010), NET (WORK): Performance Art Fair at VIVO Media Art Centre (Vancouver, 2009) and the BikeOSphere Group Art Show at Centre A Gallery (Vancouver, 2008). She was awarded her Bachelor of Fine Art posthumously from Emily Carr University of Art + Design in 2011.
